My Blog

So i finally bit the bullet....

So, after lots of umming and ahhhing i have decided to finally do it and write a blog!!! i love using social media and often update everyone via my facebook pages JM Guest Designer Laura Binding and You Nique You Jewellery but i figured it was time to be able to go into detail and keep people up to date with what i am getting up to and of course, for those of you who do follow me, my train challenges!!!

so, if you have just stumbled upon me and have no idea what i am talking about, let me explain, as a guest designer for Jewellerymaker, i travel to and from the studio via train and have approximately 1hr 40 before i change over to the local train to get to Redditch.  one day i was travelling and i just thought hmmm, had a root about in my bag, and decided to have a play, i got two reels of wire, and a focal stone, and i sat and created, the journey flew by and i had a lovely unique pendant at the end of it!!

This has now become a bit of a habit of mine, and so i now take my wire, a bag of stones and my tools and create, i try to get people involved in the process, i will select some stones and get opinions as to what one i should use, and then i try to take a few stage pictures to let you all see how it's going!  so now, i am going to use this blog to be able to show you my journey's and to keep you updated with the trials and tribulations of being a jewellery maker ;)

be in touch soon

Spellbinding x

So so pleased with your blog Laura. I've never read blogs or know how to do them so admire you greatly. I've list confidence with making jewellery since I had a fall which left me in too much pain to sit and make stuff but...... I've been amassing loads n loads of gem and wire and cd's so I can eventually do wire wrap feature stones and rings etc. keep up the good work and I'll be hanging on every word . Xx

Hi Laura, so glad that you've decided to join the blogging community. I'll be looking forward to seeing your train challenges and trying to replicate some of them. It's frustrating at times when things don't turn out as I'd wish but I keep trying until I come up with something better. Good luck with your blog. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Hello, your work is so clever and lovely. I thinking about doing one of your classes but I'm put off by the television appearance ! Do you know if you have to do this bit? Thanks, ginette
