My Blog

A Little time for me

so i have had a rare few days where in between being mum , and looking after a poorly daughter, i have made a couple of different pieces for me, my son and my shop!

As many of you probably know, i work forJewellerymaker and am very lucky to know many of the other guest designer's that work there also, one of these being the lovely Fleur Hastings ofRocks 'n' Chains  who is a very clever and talented chainmaille artisian!  so, i was watching Fleur last week and she inspired me to get back into the chainmaille bug, i have never done the full persian weave before but she made it look so easy i had to have a go!

It's Friday!!!

Morning everyone!!!

Well, friday is finally here, i took five minutes to sneak into my studio whilst the kids are scoffing cheesy bagels, and running around shouting every spell they can think off with their harry potter wands that father christmas got them!!!

Last night the crew and I went to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Bristol Hippodrome!!!  it was brilliant!  I have seen it a long time ago with hubby and so knew it would be great but to go with the kids was really magic!

Jason Mansford as Mr Potts and Phill Jupitas and Claire Sweeny as the Baron and Baroness and it was brilliant, as for the child catcher, very creepy!

Hotel Challenge

Well Good Afternoon all!!!

so, i said i was going to try to stay productive with my blog and so here i am! so last night i updated you all with my first home challenge of 2017, but feeling in the mood, i decided to make a little something special when i was in my hotel on saturday night.

so, loaded with sterling silver wire, stunning round amethyst, a sneaky pink grapefruit and gin (really nice!) and my laptop, i settled in for the night.

popping on Netflix, i decided to watch "the voices" with ryan reynolds (yes please!

My first home challenge of 2017

last year went a  little bit crazy and i found i wasn't able to create pieces just for me, i love my job, creating jewellery, writing magazine articles and so on, but sometimes i just like to sit and not think, no restrictions, limitations or guidelines, and make something!!!

so, on Saturday that happened!

i have been unwell this last week with a lovely bug that has hit me for six, so much that i had to cancel a show for JM and  i never do that!!

so, to get my head back in the game, i grabbed a stunning lampwork bead by creeky beads, some bare copper wire in 0.

New Year Resolutions...

2017 is the way forward!

well, hello everyone! really can say longtime no blog!! well, thats about to change, i intend to keep you all up to date with my goings on, so i hope i dont bore you!!!

Well, firstly, can i start by saying i hope you all had a fab Christmas and New Year, i personally am glad that 2016 is over, it was a very bad year for me, but that's done now and we are moving forward.

I intend to be updating my website reguarly with new pieces, so keep an eye out, although i no longer do my "train challenges" i really miss them so have started giving myself "home challenges!

Time to get serious!

Ok, so maybe the title is a bit dramatic!! lol,

Well Christmas is on its way!!! it's time to get planning!!! i'm working hard to get pieces together for Bristol Blue as well as get my pieces labelled and up on display in the Bristol Marial Arts Dojo!!!

But my other new avenue i have been wondering down is the more refined, more high end style of jewellery!! I have just made a nice little investment in some sterling silver wire and i already own far too many high end beautiful gemstones, so.

A new range of You Nique You

Well, what can i say? firstly, i am sorry for the silence!! its been a couple of manic weeks lately, ah who am i kidding!! months!! but, lots of exciting things are going on behind the scenes of  You Nique You!!! such as, my collaborating with the wonderfulOriginal Bristol Blue Glass Company!! They shall be giving me pieces of their amazing glass and i shall be setting it in a variety of different ways, ranging from a set of pendants, one off "Train Challenges" and of course, a special

Bit of a catch up!!
